| This forum will be strictly T1 based fighting. IF you don't know what T1 is, then let me explain. The textual format for this style is rather simple. It is in paragraph form, and turned based. Those are the first things recognize about Textual Style One (T1). Most people prefer the paragraphs in T1 to have a least a 150 words. However, some people are a little less slack on the rule then others. So prepare to take the consequences for what you do. Now, by turned based what we mean is: You take your turn, and then your opponent takes his turn. You continue in this fashion for the remainder of the T1 match. This isn’t swayable, and doesn’t change.
When T1ing you can never say that you attacked in your post. Your opponent gets to decide if the attack landed, or not. I know, most of you are saying that then he can choose to dodge everything. Well, his blocks only work if they’re capable of working. He can’t just pull something out of his ass and it work. So the more detail, and harder you make it for him to block the better.
Preps are a good thing to use in T1. Preps are post that you use to prepare for an attack further down the road. Preps are also more likely to hit then just flat out attacking. Exampe: Glanced around the area looking for something to use as an attack. It took him several seconds to decide on what he wanted to do at first. But then he figured out how to use the moisture in the air for his own advances. He swept out energy into the area, pulling in moisture in the air and solidifying it slightly. Solidifying it slightly would give it a jell like form as it hovered in the area around them. He didn’t attack with it, he just moved the jell around the target making sure to completely surround his opponent. “Hope you’re ready for a bath… If not, oh well, the smell was starting to get to me, and we can’t have that, now can we?”
Notice that I made no immediate attack on the figure I used as an opponent. Now he has a chance to counter the attack if he wants to, or can. However, if he can not you’re free to use your prep and make your initial attack. Example: One by one, the little jell shards thinned out and formed a serrated blade for cutting and shredding flesh. It took only a few seconds for every jell shard to follow suit of the first few before he was ready into begin his assault on the victim he had come for. At the drop of a nickel every jell shard surrounding the man leapt into action launched from their resting position towards the man as Shen flung his straighten hand down. If the man didn’t counter the attack the attack the combination of all the little jell shards cutting through his skin would rip his body into pieces within seconds.
That would be an attack that was used with a prep. Blocking isn’t very hard either. You just pick apart your opponents post and then do what you can to counter the attack, as long as it is litigable. And you can not attack in your intro. An intro is used to tell your opponent about your character. Some people ask that you place all weapons and abilities into your intro, some people don’t. So you’ll have to make the rules of the match very clear before you begin.
There are several sub styles of T1; URM (Unrealistic Melee), RM (Realistic Melee), PC (Anything goes), and MP (Mildor Magic Powers.) URM is very simple; you can’t use spells, and magic, or anything of the like. You can use guns, and swords and such. Don’t get sad because you can use magic powers. You can use super strength, super speed, and things like that along with magical weapons, such as flaming swords and other magical weapons with innate abilities (Abilities that are done automatically by something happening to it.) RM is no magic, no uber abilities. Everything has to be something a normal human can perform. MP is using mild powers, like minor spells and abilities like that. You can’t jump planes, use rifts, or anything like that. In PC you’re allowed to do anything, but god-mod. Cut loose and have fun.

| #1 What this site is. This site is a freeform play by post role plaing site. What that means is that it is a game, but also a combined creative storytelling venture. So we all come together to share the stage to create a grand tale, withno one main character and everyone doing thier part. This also means that even if two players are running characters that are enemies, the players should still work together to move the story forward.
#2 The Narrator. The Narrator is there to set the scene, and provide the bumps in the road so to speak, for the characters. The main objective of the Narrator is to propell the story onward, however the narrator will also be there to take care of issues that need resolving between players. The narrator is also responsible for major actions by any non player characters. This means that as a player you are free to control npc's in a limited role, such as interacting on an average everyday bases, but the narrator is responsible for anything that could potentially have an effect on the npc's life in a major way.
#3We are here to have fun. Any action that unneccesarily detracts from that will be dealt with immediately. This includes ALL forms of harrasment to any player, and any harrasment of a character without reason. Any complaints of harrasment should be taken straight to one of the administrators, and will be dealt with promptly. Anyone found to be commiting such actions may be banned at the administrators discretion.
#4No god moding. Every character has flaws, and no character is good at everything. Keep this in mind when creating and playing your character. As Dirty Harry said," A man gots to know his limitations." So any one who is found trying to play a character that is great at everything, or is unable to accept blows in combat will be warned by the administrators, and if problems continue may be temporarily or permanently banned from the site. Or thier character may befall a terrible tragedy at the hands of the narrator...
#5 Keep it PG 13. We expect thier to be violence, and we expect that characters will have relations with other characters. Just keep it in good taste. This is not a sex site, nor a George Remero film, so limit the sexuality and gore. If you wouldnt see it in a pg 13 film, don't do it.
These are our rules as of right now, and we will add to or edit them as is neccesary, it is your responsibility to know them, so check in periodacally to look for changes. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to pm an administrator or post it to the rules suggestions section in ooc. We also want to hear what you think, so drop us a line if you have any suggestions, we are always open to improving the site.
